Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene sheets are comprised of extremely long chains of polyethylene making it one of the toughest materials available, with a very high impact strength.
UHMW PE is preferred for its resistance to weathering, it’s performance properties that make it safe for food handling/processing, and it’s remarkable strength. It is similar to PTFE (Poly tetreflouro ethylene), however it has a much better abrasion resistance. It is much cheaper than metal material and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene sheet can easily be machined.
Polymershapes carries ultra high molecular weight polyethylene sheet, as well as UHMW-PE Rod and UHMW-PE tube products. Custom sizes can be cut to your preferences as well. With over 70 locations across the United States, Mexico and Canada, Polymershapes has been at the forefront of plastic distribution, serving clients since the 1940s. We also sell and ship, PTFE, High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
