About PEEK (Polyetheretherketone)
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is a unique engineering thermoplastic offering high temperature stability, toughness, rigidity, and creep resistance. It is resistant to a wide range of solvents, making it an excellent material for use in a broad spectrum of applications where thermal, chemical and combustion properties are critical to performance.
The addition of glass or carbon fibers or other reinforcing materials can enhance the mechanical and thermal properties of PEEK, which is produced in both compression-molded and extruded forms, with differentiated properties for each. Molded PEEK components absorb much less water than many other thermoplastics.
Polymershapes offers PEEK in multiple grades and forms, in a variety of sizes. It is available in both natural and black, and several grades that meet FDA, USDA, UL-94 Flame Class, 3-A Dairy and ASTM/Mil-Spec requirements.
Polymershapes can meet your PEEK needs with sheet, rod and tube from leading edge suppliers including Ketron® and Semitron® from Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials (formerly Quadrant EPP). You can rely on our expert fabrication capabilities to ensure you get just the right amount of material for your projects: We will deliver the sheet, plate, rod or tube you want, in the lengths, widths and thicknesses you need.

Applications & Industries
Aerospace
There are a variety of reasons for using plastics – like PAI, ECTFE, PTFE, PEEK, PPSU, PVC-Acrylic, and much more – in aerospace applications, particularly airplanes.
Semiconductor
A wide variety of engineered plastics are used in the manufacturing of semiconductors, which are also known as microchips. Semiconductor manufacturing requires extreme precision and stability to prevent costly part failure.
Medical Life Sciences
The medical industry places stringent demands on material quality, purity, and product documentation. It’s also constantly seeking cost-savings, such as long-lasting materials that can be used in less invasive treatments. Medical-grade performance plastics are just what the doctor ordered in many demanding life science applications.
Automotive
Plastics weigh less than alternative materials such as metal, and less weight means less fuel consumption, which is attractive to consumers when deciding what model to purchase.
Related & Associated Products
PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide)
PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) is a tough, high-performance engineering thermoplastic featuring high dimensional stability.
PEI (Polyetherimide, ULTEM™)
PEI (Polyetherimide) is an amorphous engineering thermoplastic offering exceptional mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. It can be easily machined with conventional metalworking tools, and can be painted, hot stamped, printed or metallized.
PAI (Polyamide-imide)
PAI (Polyamide-imide) is an imidized thermoplastic material, with a continuous use temperature range of up to 500° F (260° C).
